What is the mission of the NWMA?
The mission of the Northwest Manufacturers Alliance( NWMA) is to improve the competitive environment for manufacturing operations within the Pacific Mountain region (inclusive of the counties of Pacific, Lewis, Grays Harbor, Mason and Thurston).
This mission will be achieved by providing adequate support services to manufacturers and assistance that helps them move towards a globally competitive, prosperous and sustainable future.
What are the alliance goals?
- Provide a resource for the region's manufacturers to ensure they have a voice at local and regional government decision points;
- Increase awareness of the importance of manufacturing as an industry in the region and its base of the county fiscal impacts on employment, revenue and other community issues;
- Support the long term maintenance and growth of infrastructure critical for the expanding health of the manufacturing base;
- Work with local educational institutions to encourage a strong and quality labor pool from which to draw workers.
- Act as a clearing house for critical job related issues that impact manufacturers.
